How JPP handles your information.
Last updated October 11, 2026. This policy describes the JPP website and app developed by Nerdhook.
Information used by JPP
When you sign in with Google, JPP receives your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile photo. We store your study settings, practice attempts and answers, scores, progress, Premium status, and session information so your account works across visits.
Why we use it
We use this information to sign you in, save and show your practice history, calculate learning progress, provide account features, send configured study reminders or essential account messages, and protect the service.
Guest practice and local storage
You can open JLPT papers without signing in. A guest's answers may stay in that browser's session storage while a paper is in progress. The website also uses local storage for sign-in state and cookies for web sessions. The app keeps its session token in device secure storage.
Services you choose to use
Google handles the sign-in step under Google's own terms and privacy policy. If you contact us through Nerdhook's contact form, Nerdhook handles the details you submit there under its Terms and Policy ↗.
Your choices
You can sign out and delete your JPP account in the Android app's settings. If you no longer have the app, use our web account deletion request page. Account deletion removes your account and linked practice records from JPP's active database. Contact us if you need help with account information or privacy questions.
